Senator’s sister, 13 others given mass burial after bandits ran rampage in Zamfara

The people of Tudun Wadar Maijatu, Takoka and Ruwan Bore communities in Zamfara have held a mass burial for fourteen persons killed by unknown bandits on Monday night.
An elder sister to Senator Kabir Marafa, a lawmaker in the state, was among the persons killed in the attack.
The bandits reportedly numbering about 100, set the village ablaze during the rampage.
The victims were given a mass burial Tuesday afternoon.
There have been concerns over the high level of insecurity in Zamfara in recent months and there are indications it would affect the turnout for the forthcoming election.
