Salawa Abeni’s alleged blackmailer goes into hiding
The alleged blackmailer trying to extort money from veteran Waka singer, Salawa Abeni, has suddenly vanished after the singer called his bluff and spilled the beans herself.
Jason, as he identified himself in his WhatsApp conversation with the Waka Legend, had threatened to release Salawa’s semi-nude photos if she fails to give him money.
What was at stake, according to Jason, is the singer’s reputation as an Alhaja (a respected member of the Muslim society) and a role model with over 45 years of entertaining Nigerians.
“It won’t be good if the popularly known Alhaja Salawa Abeni nude picture is trending on social media. Message me when you’re online so we can negotiate. Once you make payment I will take a video of me burning the pictures and send it to you. Or do you want the pictures to go viral?” Jason told Salawa Abeni on WhatsApp.
After he was exposed, Jason has dumped the phone number he used to communicate with the singer as all calls by Neusroom to the line were unreachable indicating that the SIM card may have been destroyed.
When Neusroom also checked the phone number on caller identification app – Truecaller, it has been tagged as ‘Jason Scammer Blackmailer’ by many users.
