"We rescued Falae" police boss boasts
Former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) and Afenifere chieftain, Olu Falae, is a free man.
Falae was kidnapped, Monday, on his farm at Ilado Village in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State.
It was the same day he was celebrating his 77th birthday.
His abductors demanded a N100 million ransom but later slashed their price to N90 million.
It remains unclear whether or not the Nigerian government paid the ransom to secure the release of Falae.

The police deployed at least 50 officers to set Falae free. Yoruba militia group, the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC), also joined in the rescue operation.
Nigerian police chief Solomon Arase is claiming credit for rescuing Falae.
“We have been able to rescue him,” Arase was quoted as saying on Thursday.
Falae regained his freedom after farmers gave the federal government a seven day ultimatum to secure his release.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had told Nigerians to blame the kidnapping of Falae on Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
