Recruitment Resumes for Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire, Correctional Services

The Federal Government has reopened the recruitment portal for four paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), days after suspending the process due to technical glitches.

In a statement on Monday, the CDCFIB said the portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, has been restored to full functionality following a system enhancement to accommodate the large volume of applications received since the process began.

“We sincerely apologize for the interruption in the application submission process. Due to the high volume of applications, it was necessary to enhance the system to ensure it can accommodate all applicants, thereby facilitating a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process,” the statement read.

The CDCFIB had last week suspended the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) after applicants complained of access issues and incomplete application processes.

The board urged applicants who had previously initiated their applications to log in and complete them from July 21, 2025.

“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the statement added.

The agency also addressed concerns over missing or unlisted local government areas in the application process.

“While some candidates are unable to proceed with applications resulting from missing or unlisted local government areas, CDCFIB assures that immediate action is currently being taken to rectify and make fresh inclusions into the portal for them,” it said.
