‘Recession will be gone soon’ – says Osinbajo
Vice president Yemi Osinbajo has assured that the current economic recession will not last, adding that the Federal Government is aware of the pains of Nigerians.
Osinbajo made the assurance during the 8th convocation ceremony of Redeemer’s University at Ede, Osun State.
According to him, there was no way Nigeria could have avoided the recession having lost 60 per cent of its revenues to economic saboteurs in February.
He identified pipeline vandalism as well as the errors of some past leaders as some of the reasons for the current economic situation.
Despite the current hardship, Osinbajo stated that the government has taken measures which will see to an end of the recession soon.
Osinbajo went on to urge the youths to get involved in legitimate businesses that would help them earn a living and ease their pains.
