July 4, 2018
Police in Ogun have been able to nab five robbery suspects who are allegedly terrorising residents.
The suspects, Adeleke Ajayi, a.k.a Ajasco, 28; Segun Ajayi, 30; Gabriel Oriola, a.k.a Stone, 31; Adebayo Opeyemi, 33; and the gang’s armourer, Wasiu Ogunlana, 28, were allegedly receiving orders from two notorious henchmen currently in the Ijebu-Ode Prison, Obabiyi a.k.a Oba ‘B’ and Ojubintin, on where next to operate in Ijebu-Ode.
The suspects, two of whom are siblings, have also at one time or another, been charged to court for armed robbery in Ijebu-Ode and Epe.
Though the use of phones and laptops in prison is not allowed, the suspects say their communications were done through the connivance of prison warders.
