PHOTOS: Lagos Police arrests 120 suspected cultists for celebrating sacred day
The Lagos State Police Command said it arrested 120 suspected cultists who defied its orders by storming the streets to celebrate the 7/7 day on Saturday.
Lagos police boss Imohimi Edgal had dared rival cult gangs in the state to converge on the sacred cultism day and risk being arrested.
Police say they recovered one big banner with 07 logo, one big clay pot, two small calabashes and one locally made pistol from the suspects.
They were also accused of drinking “skoochies”, a mixed concoction drink with weed in it.
“They will all be charged to court after investigations concerning their activities have been concluded,” police said as they paraded the suspects today.
