“Pay us our pensioners from Paris Club refund” – Osun pensioners tell Aregbesola
July 19, 2017
Pensioners in Osun State besieged the State Civil Service Secretariat to stage a peaceful protest over payment of the arrears of their pensions and gratuities.
The state government, yesterday, received its share of the Paris Club refund, totalling N6.314bn.
Aggrieved pensioners had earlier complained that their monies were not paid at the first installment of the bailout fund.
The retired workers said they were being owed one-year full pension arrears and gratuities from 2008 to 2012.
Armed with placards, the pensioners are demanding that Governor Aregbesola use the N6.314bn he just collected to pay them.
