Nomthi Odukoya, the wife of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Founder of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, is dead.

Odukoya announced Nomthi’s death in an Instagram statement on Tuesday evening.

“She battled cancer for the better part of two years, she stood on the Word of God, and she fought,” he said. “She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage, and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.”

Odukoya married Nomthi, a South African, in January 2010, five years after his first wife, Bimbo Odukoya, died in a Sosoliso plane crash on December 10, 2005.

Bimbo was a popular televangelist who became a household name in the early 2000s through her television programme ‘Single and Married’, which was broadcast locally and internationally.

In a statement on Twitter, the Fountain of Life Church said Nomthi “stood for the word of God, and she fought.”
