Passengers call out Air Peace for “endangering people’s lives”

Passengers aboard an Air Peace flight on Friday were left praying for a safe landing after the airplane experienced what seemed like turbulence.

A passenger on the flight, however, claimed that the life threatening incident had nothing to do with turbulence but the airline’s substandard service.

“It wasn’t turbulence! We almost died,” the passenger said.

“Our air masks came out. Everyone was literally gasping for air.”

She went on to say that at least 10 of the passengers collapsed and they had to share just one oxygen mask.

“Some girl finished up her inhaler cause she had to share it with other asthmatic patients.

“When we got to Enugu, that was where the real issue began, apparently we couldn’t land because our flight kept hovering. Cabin pressure was mad low, time for landing the airplane started to tilt.”

Thankfully, the airplane landed safely.

The passengers have called on the Federal Government to urgently look into the airline’s operations, as the latest incident is one of many in the past few months.

Air Peace, however, said in its statement that the incident was as a result of depressurisation, which it described as a “regular occurrence in aviation.”
