Osimhen Opens Up On Joining Galatasaray
Nigerian goalscorer, Victor Osimhen, has spoken up on his move to Turkish side, Galatasaray.
The on-loan Napoli star had only glowing remarks when speaking on the Turkish side’s website after penning the new deal.
Victor Osimhen will spend the rest of the 2024/25 season on a temporary basis at Gala and has descibed the side as a “big club.”
He explained that fellow Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekeru, had high regards for the club and recommended them to him when asked about the state of the club ahead of the move.
“It was easy for me to accept Gala, it’s a big club.
“Onyekuru told me how special are the fans, I saw how they welcomed me at the airport… I was so happy.
“I was already following Gala since Dries Mertens joined them,
“I can’t wait now,” Osimhen stated.
The move comes after one of the most protracted transfer saga in history between Chelsea and Saudi side, Al Ahli, who justled for his signature.

It was reported that Osimhen prefered to remain in Europe and fight for trophies as opposed to moving to Arabia for big cash.
That opened the door for London side, Chelsea, to seal a deal, but even they could not match the 250k wages the Nigerian reportedly earns, offering only a paltry 155k wages which was turned down by the player and his agent.
The loan agreement comes after Osimhen and his team agreed a reduced release clause with Napoli from the former 130m Euros to about 75m Euros.
His loan deal also includes a “break clause” which would allow him negotiate with big clubs in January with a view to leaving.
There are a list of 10 clubs included in the break clause as likely destinations, with Chelsea among them.
