Nigerians or Ghanaians? Who invented jollof rice?

Two students of a London-based university allegedly got themselves suspended from the school while reportedly trying to answer this simple complicated question.

Lateefa Oyedapo is reportedly Nigerian; Tracy Osei Assibey is from Ghana.

They share a kitchen where they stay in the UK. They are reportedly studying at the College of South West London.

So Lateefa was said to be cooking jollof rice when Tracy pointed out that the Nigerian was doing it wrong.

Yes, Nigerians lay patent claims to jollof rice, and Lateefa was quick to remind her mate there was no chance in the world a Nigerian could be wrong about jollof rice. But that wouldn’t suffice.

Who did this? What a wicked world.

The duo got into an argument about which country actually invented the delicacy. Things turned violent with both ladies ending up slugging it out on the streets of London.

Lateefa and Tracy allegedly exchanged punches, pulled at each other’s hair and wrestled hard from their apartment located on the fifth floor of the building…to the streets.

One of them reportedly lost two teeth in the duel.

The lecturer reportedly later said jollof rice was invented in Sierra Leone.
