#NigeriaDecides2019: The election results so far as we enter day 2
As the collation of election results enters the second day on Tuesday, here is the margin of polls by the two leading political parties, APC and PDP.
As at the time of our report, a total of 11 states and the FCT (12 in total) have been announced by INEC and there’s still 25 more to go.
Muhammadu Buhari of APC has won 7 states among the confirmed states, while Atiku Abubakar of PDP cleared 5. A total of 5,667,337 valid votes have been recorded by both parties across these states.
APC’s Buhari accumulated a combined vote of 2,976,721 from Ekiti, Osun, Kwara, Yobe, Kogi, Nasarawa and Gombe while PDP’s Atiku gathered 2,690,616 across Abuja, Ondo, Abia, Enugu, and Ebonyi.
Buhari is currently leading Atiku with 286,105 votes.
The election result collation is currently ongoing in Abuja.
