Embattled Senator Dino Melaye will retain his seat as the representative of the people of Kogi West Senatorial District after declaration that he won Saturday’s election.
Melaye defeated Smart Adeyemi of the APC in the poll.
The Senator has had a torrid time with the Police since he was accused of sponsoring political thugs in Kogi. He was also accused of ordering his thugs to shoot a police officer.
His cases remain in court.

INEC will continue collation of results at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, on Monday (today).
