My Life Is In Danger and My Security Is No Longer Guaranteed- Nnamdi Kanu

 

Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi who earlier met with The Governors of the South-East Governors has backed out of the mediation between his group and the South-East Governor

He was scheduled to be at the Enugu Government House for a continuation of the dialogue on Friday.

According to online reports, Kanu said his security was no longer guaranteed; we believe the development is not unconnected with the alleged invasion of his house by Nigerian military.

It was reported in the media that prominent leaders and groups had insisted that Nnamdi Kanu tow the line of peaceful dialogue, and meet with the governors to find a lasting solution to their grievances.

The under listed were reasons why Nnamdi Kanu decided to opt out of the meeting with the South-East Governor:

IPOB is currently busy attending to the dead and injured:

Kanu claim that IPOB is currently busy attending to its dead and injured from the latest round of unprovoked military onslaught against innocent civilians in Igbo land.

He confirmed that all the casualties so far were shot by men of the Nigerian Army deployed to his house and those stationed along motor ways leading to (Umuahia) his hometown.

According to sources, Kanu stated that he have been reliably informed that a detachment of this same soldiers responsible for the murder of innocent unarmed IPOB family members have been stationed near Enugu to ambush and assassinate him on his way to the meeting with the Governors on Friday.

Meeting with Directorate of state headquartered in Germany:

Kanu was believed to have said that “On that same Friday the 15th of September 2017, the leadership of IPOB through the instrumentality of the Directorate of State (DOS) headquartered in Germany, will be meeting to vote on the viability or otherwise of continuing IPOB struggle in a non-violent manner.

He further stated that “It is impossible to engage in any meaningful conversation with the Governors in the midst of so much bloodshed, abductions and military siege’

From speculation, Kanu may likely not engage in any meeting with anybody until the atmosphere in South East is conducive and peaceful
