“My Husband’s Survival Was a Miracle” – Melania Trump on Assassination Attempts

Melania Trump, former U.S. First Lady and wife of ex-president Donald Trump, has described her husband’s survival of two assassination attempts as nothing short of “miracles.”

Speaking to Sky News on Friday, Melania said, “The guys that were with him, they were fantastic. And I think both of the events were really miracles. I think something was watching over him. It’s almost like the country really needs him.”

The former president, who is currently running for re-election against Vice President Kamala Harris, faced two assassination attempts in 2024.

In July, during a rally in Pennsylvania, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks fired multiple shots at Trump, one of which reportedly grazed the former president’s ear. Although the Secret Service responded with multiple shots, killing the shooter, a Trump supporter at the rally was killed by Crooks’ gunfire, while two others were critically injured.

Two months later, in September, another man, Ryan Routh, 58, was arrested after a failed attempt to shoot Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course.

In her interview, Melania speculated that media and opposition attacks on her husband might have contributed to the assassination attempts.

“Is it really shocking that all this egregious violence is directed against my husband? Especially when we hear leaders from the opposition party and the mainstream media branding him as a threat to democracy, calling him vile names?” she asked, calling for an end to the attacks.

“This needs to stop,” she demanded.
