‘12-Day War’ Is Over: Trump Announces Ceasefire Agreement Between Israel and Iran
President Donald Trump has announced a full ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, effectively bringing an end to what he dubbed “The 12 Day War.”
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump wrote;
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE.” According to him, the ceasefire will begin “in approximately 6 hours” after both sides complete their “in progress, final missions.”
On Friday, June 12, Israel launched a series of attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites, which resulted in an exchange of missiles between the two countries for 12 days. Israel claimed that the Iranians had advanced their nuclear program and could produce a nuclear weapon within days, weeks, or months.
On Sunday, June 22, the U.S. targeted three of the most fortified nuclear sites in Iran—an act that prompted a response from Tehran, which bombed a U.S. military base in Doha, Qatar, the following day. Reacting earlier to the attack, Trump dismissed Iran’s move as “a very weak response” to the U.S. obliteration of Iranian nuclear sites.
“There have been 14 missiles fired—13 were knocked down, and 1 was ‘set free,’ because it was headed in a nonthreatening direction,” he said, emphasizing that “NO Americans were harmed.”

The president credited both countries for choosing diplomacy.
“I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end what could have destroyed the entire Middle East—but it didn’t, and never will!”
Trump said Iran will initiate the ceasefire, Israel will join at the 12th hour, and “upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.”
He concluded: “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”
