MTN Thanks Nigerian Government, Stakeholders for Progress in Telecoms Sector
MTN, the biggest telecommunications company in Nigeria, has expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government as well as all stakeholders for the success it has achieved in 20 years.
This appreciation was expressed by the chairman of MTN Nigeria, Ernest Ndukwe, when the company hosted a cross-section of media professionals at its corporate Headquarters in Ikoyi, Lagos on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
He acknowledged the role played by the Nigerian government in liberalising the telecommunications sector.
He said: We appreciate the extraordinary progress made in the ICT industry so far all thanks to the visionary leadership that the Nigerian government provided when the sector was liberalized to drive the evolution in the ICT industry
“We appreciate the role our stakeholders have played in supporting MTN. I would like to reiterate our commitment to greater service to our stakeholders as we move into the future.”
He added that MTN will be investing more than N60 billion in the next three years to drive broadband expansion.
