Miyetti Allah implores Nigerians to reject Atiku at the polls
The umbrella organization for Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani has called on Nigerians to reject the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the upcoming elections.
After pitching their tent with president Buhari, the National President of the group, Alhaji Bello Bodejo made their position known at a conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Alhaji Bodejo revealed that their grouse with Atiku is hinged on his profiling the Fulani race and trying to destabilize the country by reiterating the Amnesty International report which claimed that 3,641 people have lost their lives in the space of three years due to unchecked clash between farmers and Fulani herdsmen.
Atiku was further accused of surrounding himself with anarchists who have open hatred for Fulani pastoralists and as such will work against the interest of the group if he becomes president.
“His statement as a presidential candidate is capable of destabilizing the country, especially considering that he is currently surrounded by anarchists and hate-speech merchants feeding on the lucrative industry of fake news,” Alhaji Bodejo said.
He enjoined the traditional rulers of Atiku’s home state, Adamawa to strip him of the title Waziri Adamawa for what they termed as his hatred and ‘a naked dance in the market place’.
The leader of the Fulani socio-cultural group advised their members and all peace-loving Nigerians to reject Atiku at the polls.
