It’s a miracle! Newborn baby dumped in pit survives

Residents of Ramatlhwa village in Limpopo, north of South-Africa, Monday morning, woke up to sounds of a crying baby coming out of a toilet pit.

They alerted the police who sent in a search and rescue team.

Thankfully, the team successfully brought the newborn girl out, alive.

“Sergeant Levi Mabethlela eventually succeeded in bringing the newborn girl back to the surface. She was taken to hospital for treatment,” Police spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto said.

Otto could, however, not say what the condition of the baby was.

He added that the police had commenced investigations to find out the mother’s identity..
