It’s a miracle! 20-month-old boy falls from fourth floor flat, survives

Joshua, just 20 months old, was left fighting for his life after the incident. And fight he did.

After undergoing brain surgery to remove a blood clot following the fall, the little boy has finally been taken off life support.

The mother Charlotte Cribben, recounting the incident, said the boy somehow unlocked the window and clambered out.

“Aaliyah just shouted, ‘Mum, Josh has fallen out the window’. So I ran into their room and looked out the window at him on the floor,” she told the Standard.

“Then I ran downstairs – I didn’t know whether to run, to shout or to scream.”

Since January 9 when the incident happened, Josh had been in critical care until Monday, January 18, that he was taken off life support.

To say the mother is relieved would be an understatement.

“I’ve got a little miracle boy,” she said. “He’s my inspiration.

“I thought I was going to be planning his funeral – not watching his recovery.”

Grandmother Tracy, Ms Cribben’s mother, has started a fundraising page to help cover expenses,.
