Lagos: Three injured as trailer crashes into three “danfo” buses in Oshodi
At least three persons were injured when a trailer crashed into three commercial buses in the Oshodi area of Lagos, Tuesday morning.
The buses, popularly known as danfo, were picking up passengers at Falgbems bus stop along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway when the trialer bearing a container rammed into them.
“Three people sustained serious injuries,” a Lagos State Emergency Management Authority spokesman said.
“One person was taken to the hospital by a passer-by before the arrival of the ERT.
“The other two were given first aid treatment by LASEMA Medical Team and the Lagos State Ambulance Services before being taken to the Trauma centre for further treatment.
“The accident was as a result of illegal stopping of the commercial bus drivers to pick passenger on the express way.
LASEMA General Manager Mr. Michael Akindele advised motorist to avoid reckless driving, over speeding and also adhere to all traffic rules and regulation to avoid incident such as this..
