“Mentally deranged” man, 35, robs unsuspecting victims with toy gun on Eko Bridge
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, on Sunday, arrested a man pretending to be mentally deranged with a toy gun under EKo Bridge around 11:00p.m.
The officers were alerted to man’s presence by a motorcyclist.
The suspect was said to have immediately hid the gun in his trousers and attempted to walk away when the police swooped in on him.
A black toy pistol, replica of Barreta pistol, was found in his possession.
The suspect claimed to be Oyahere Johnson, 35, from Port Harcourt. He told the police he had been using the toy gun to rob unsuspecting victims in the area.
