Meet Nigerian who “posed as church worker to rape UK girls”
Oluwadamilare Baiyewu was the “pillar” of a community in the United Kingdom until his “real” nature was exposed.
The 22-year-old pretended to be a church volunteer “to mask his true nature as a sexual predator.” It was one of the ways prosecutors described Baiyewu.
He raped a 17-year-old girl and attempted attacking another at knife point, prosecutors told a court.
They described Baiyewu as “dangerous, calculating and predatory rapist.” They said he attempted masking his true self by helping out a church in Fairlawn in Greenwich.
On December 2, 2015, Baiyewu, prosecutors say, drew a knife on a 17-year-old girl. But the girl reportedly managed to escape.

Oluwadamilare Baiyewu is a dangerous, calculating, predatory rapist. He volunteered at a local church, creating the image that he was a pillar of the community, which I believe was an attempt to mask his true nature as a sexual predator.
I would like to praise his victims for having the strength to come forward to police and give their evidence in court.
The streets of Thamesmead are now a safer place without the presence of Baiyewu.

A week later Baiyewu succeeded in “kidnapping” another girl at knife point. He dragged her away from public eye and earshot and raped her, prosecutors say.
Baiyewu was tracked down after DNA linking him to the attacks was recovered, reports say. He was arrested on December 16.
His victims were asked to identify him, and they did.
Woolwich Crown Court, on Thursday, sentenced Baiyewu to 24 years in prison.
He will serve a minimum of 16 years in prison and will then be on license for eight years, reports say..
