Man, 56, impregnates 16-year-old daughter in Ondo
A 56-year-old man has been sentenced to serve nine years in prison for impregnating his daughter.
Taiwo Olubayode was found guilty of incest by a Family Court sitting at Oke-Eda, Akure, the Ondo State capital.
He slept with his 16-year-old daughter, name withheld.
The victim and her boss had reported Olubayode the NSCDC’s office in Idanre. It was then discovered that the girl was pregnant.
Olubayode confessed to committing the crime at the NSCDC office.
He was paraded before the the court by Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps on a one count charge bordering on incest.
The prosecutor said the offence contradicted the Ondo State Child’s Right law of Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps 2007.
Edwin sentenced the accused to nine years imprisonment with hard labour, without an option of fine.
