Man, 35, rapes 19-year-old girl seeking his help with admission
Stanley Ekere, a 35-year-old man has been arrested and taken to the Lagos Magistrate court at Igbosere for raping a 19-year-old admission seeker.
Stanley allegedly, on August 8, allegedly raped the girl after deceiving her he would help her get admission into the university.
The victim had told Stanley that she didn’t want his help anymore, but the suspect pleaded with her to give him one more chance to show he is trustworthy.
Stanley was said to have ripped her clothes and raped her. His sister who heard the victim’s cry allegedly requested that he should stop her from screaming, as she claimed the screams were disturbing her.
The suspect’s neighbours were disturbed by the screams and were able to save the victim. They handed Stanley to the police.
Stanley told the court he was not guilty of the crime during his arraignment on Tuesday. He was remanded in prison pending the outcome of DPP’s advice.
