LASG finally allows sanity prevail, orders PSP operators to resume waste collection
After Visionscape Sanitation Solutions failed woefully, the Lagos State government has said today that PSP operators, who were previously in charge of waste disposal, will now resume with the responsibility of managing residential and general waste collection.
Visionscape, which the state government remains adamant is the future of waste management, has now been mandated to only implement waste management infrastructure development across the State.
Will Lagos now be rid of the mess and eyesore it has become?
It appears so, as a resident in the Gbagada area of the state said PSP operators only visited his house to collect refuse on Wednesday morning (today) for the first time in five weeks.
