Lagos Unrest: Government will not abrogate its responsibility of protecting citizens – Sanwo-Olu

In light of the reports of unrest in some parts of Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said the State government will not abrogate its responsibility of protecting the citizens.

He stated this during his address at the State House on Monday while reacting to a question on how youths in the state have been out protecting themselves against threats by criminal elements.

Lagos has witnessed a spike in unrest in the past three weeks since President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a lockdown of the state to curb the spread of COVID-19.
