Lagos: Man, 25, allegedly drugs, rapes teenage niece
A 25-year-old man has been accused of raping a physically challenged teenager in Lagos.
The suspect, Abuchi Stanley, was said to have lured his 17-year-old victim through a Facebook chat.
He was alleged to have drugged and raped the girl when they eventually met, since they began chatting on the social app last year.
The unnamed victim reportedly left her parents’ house in Aguda, Surulere, a week ago, and was allegedly taken by Stanley to a hotel in Ikorodu.
She was reportedly found while wandering about in Ikorodu a day after.
A good Samaritan met her and contacted her mom.
The matter was reported to the police and Stanley was arrested at Second Gate at Agidingbi, Ikeja, where he reportedly sells second hand vehicles and spare parts.
Stanley was arraigned at the Surulere Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
By a twist of fate however, Stanley was discovered to be the victim’s uncle.
PM Express reports that the victim was discovered to be the daughter of Stanley’s aunt, who hailed from Umuezeleke family in Azia town in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
Reports say it was at the court that Stanley’s father recognised the girl’s mom as one of his relatives.
The suspect was granted bail in the sum of N100,000.
