Lagos Consumer Protection Agency raids supermarkets for expired products

Officials of the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) stormed Agege community to inspect supermarkets in the axis for fake and expired products.
The officials combed minimarts, supermarkets and other stores along Onipetesi, Agege, to check if the business operators abide by the regulations guiding expired products.
It was gathered that the action led to a mild struggle among some mart operators with fear of being sanctioned by the officials if found culpable of breaching any act.
Residents, however, lauded the move by the Agency, saying it would bring back the trust in the minds of customers who are the end users of harmful products sold by some supermarkets.
