Kogi: Angry youths run rampage as pleasure seeker drowns in hotel pool

Pleasure seekers at a hotel in Lokoja were greeted with the shocking sight of a dead man in the pool on Monday.

The man, identified as Mohammed Suberu, had reportedly entered the Idrinana Hotel’s swimming pool to have a nice swimming session when he drowned.

His dead body was found floating a few hours after.

Reports say the incident left the security men attached to the hotel and members of staff in confusion, as they rushed to save the man’s life.

He was confirmed dead at the state specialist hospital where he was rushed to.

Friends and colleagues of the victim were said to have stormed the hotel, which is located in the Phase Two area of Lokongoma, in the Kogi state capital.

The angry persons protested against the hotel’s management and pointed out the fact that it was a second time someone would die in the pool.

A middle-aged man reportedly drowned in the swimming pool last year.
