How kidnappers of Fegor Ogude’s wife demanded ransom, set her free
Wife of Nigerian footballer Fegor Ogude was abducted last Monday and went on to spend the rest of the week in the hands of her kidnappers.
Gunmen abducted Mrs Maimunat Ogude in Warri, Delta State, on Monday night and initially refused to speak with her family.
The story, however, changed on Sunday night.
To God be the glory, the wife of SE player Fegor Ogude, Memunat has been released, she was released minutes ago, and is now with her family

Timi Ebikagboro is the media officer for Nigeria’s U-23 team and a family friend to the Ogudes.
He broke the news of Memunat’s release on Sunday night. His use of “SE” means “Super Eagles.”
After abducting Memunat, the kidnappers later contacted the midfielder about a ransom demand.
It was Igor Rezvuhin, the General Manager of Amker Perm, the Russian football club where Ogude plays, who made that revelation.
Rezvuhin said:
The criminals have asked for a ransom but I’m not prepared to discuss exactly how much. We will do everything we can to help the football player get out of the situation.
Whatever amount was paid, we’re glad Memumat is back with her husband.
