Kaduna: Four armed robbery suspects shot dead, police officer dismissed
Four armed robbery suspects have been killed after engaging the operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command in a shootout on Monday afternoon.
Channels TV reports that the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Agyole Abeh revealed the suspects were on their way to a robbery operation before they were intercepted.
The shootout reportedly happened around Jere area in Kagarko Local Government Area of the state.
In a related development, members of another robbery gang, who allegedly specialised in shop theft and car snatching, were also arrested in different parts of the state.
10 AK 47 rifles, live ammunition, a stolen Toyota Camry vehicle, a police uniform and stolen clothes and jewelleries, were some of the items recovered.
A police officer was also arrested and dismissed for allegedly terrorising residents of the state capital in the name of the command.
