Tragic! Embittered husband shoots wife, in-law during divorce proceedings in South Africa
An almost unbelievable show of horror was witnessed at a South African court on Monday (today) when an embittered husband pulled the trigger on his estranged wife.
The unnamed man, a police officer, and his wife had dragged themselves to the Durban Magistrates Court to finalise their divorce when he allegedly pulled out his gun and shot her point blank.
He also shot his wife’s brother who was at the courtroom with them before attempting to kill himself.
Though his victims died instantly, the suspect was rescued and taken to the hospital where he is reportedly in critical condition.
KZN police spokesperson Thembeka Mbele confirmed that the suspect is being watched.
He is expected to be charged with two counts of murder after investigation.
