IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu is alive, reportedly hiding in Ghana
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has reportedly been spotted secretly going about his business in Ghana.
Unconfirmed report says Kanu, whose wherabouts had been shrouded in mystery since the military raided his Anambra residence last September, found his way into the neighboring country with the help of some Niger Delta militants.
Kanu was rumoured to have been killed at the height of operation Python Dance II carried out by the military.
He was also rumoured to have escaped to London. His wife, Uchechi, however, claimed she has no idea whether the Biafra agitator was dead or living.
According to a new report, Kanu has been spotted at a suya joint in Ghana, in the company of his wife and disguised with a cap. He is said to frequent Kenzo Bar and IBG saloon in the country’s capital.
He is also said to be living at an estate called “Arabella” in a Cantonment area in Accra.
Kanu’s court trial for treason has stalled since his disappearance.
His surety in the ongoing trial, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has pleaded to be released from the obligation after his disappearance.
