“I didn’t abscond with funds raised for my son’s medical bills” – Father of terminally ill child says

The man whose child was terminally ill has come out to say that he did not abscond with the N70 million that was raised for his child’s medical bills.

Mr Monday Agoboye who had received public sympathy after he staged a protest on the road in Port Harcourt to garner support for his son’s surgery said that the allegations leveled against him was false.

One of the coordinators of the fundraising campaign had alleged that the man has cut off all communications with him and absconded with the money.

But Mr Agoboye said that he decided to lay low after the amount of money he received was made public.

He added that he has gotten International Passport and is concluding the process of traveling abroad for the child’s surgery as was expected.

Agoboye expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to raise the fund for his son’s surgery.
