I Come In Peace: Man accused of laundering N106m arrives court in style

A man facing charges for allegedly laundering N106 million seemed to have no care in the world as he threw up a peace sign for the camera during his arraignment in court.

Ochonma Loveday Iheanyi, the EFCC say, had been arrested sometime in September 2018, for allegedly receiving N100m from one Ifeanyi Nwaneri. The commission said Nwaneri is facing trial over an alleged N1.2m POS fraud belonging to Access Bank Plc.

Iheanyi faces a five-count charge of money laundering.

The court heard that Iheanyi, through Coy Lonma Investment Company, received another N42,975,000 sum which was “part of proceeds of an unlawful act” between 24th August 2017 and 13th September, 2017.
