Husband returns home to find 8-month-old daughter murdered by wife’s friend
A mother of three is facing 25 years jail term after her male friend beheaded her 8-month-old baby at her residence in Luninets, Belarus.
25-year-old Natalia Klob had been at home drinking with her friend, Viktor, while her husband was away with their two sons.
The husband returned home shortly after, to find his daughter in a pool of her blood.
Law enforcement said the child, Anna, was beaten before she was beheaded with a kitchen knife.
One of the paramedics who arrived the scene was said to have passed out on the sight of the horror.
Natalia, who had only recently baptised the child in the Orthodox Church with her husband, Leonid, was arrested with Viktor on suspicion of being responsible for the killing.
The cause of the killing was still unknown.
Viktor faces a death sentence by being shot in the back of the head while Natalia, due to a law in Belarus that states women cannot be executed, faces up to 25 years in jail if found guilty in the murder case.
Those facing the death penalty in Belarus are blindfolded and forced to kneel, before they are shot in the back of the head.
