“How we plucked Elozino’s eyes, breasts for rituals” – Killers of DELSU student
Elozino Joshualia Ogege was gruesomely murdered about two weeks ago. Her body was found two days after she was declared missing.
Police quickly rounded up two ‘Yahoo’ boys and a security guard for being involved in the killing of the 22-year-old.
Her killers have now confessed that they indeed wanted to use her body parts for rituals.
One of the suspects, a security guard attached to the Delta State University where Elozino studied as a Mass Communication student, said he was contracted to provide a female student for ritual purposes.
“I was contacted by Desmond and another to provide a female student for Yahoo rituals,” Onos confessed.
“So when Elozino approached me that she was looking for accommodation, I saw it as a good opportunity. I contacted Desmond who told me to tell her to come back the next day.
“So the next day, they brought a Corolla car; and when Elozino came, they used something on her face which made her unconscious. We took her to a bush where we first plucked out one of her eyes while she was still alive.
“She was even crying and begging us to forgive her and let her go, but we plucked the other eye, removed her breast and heart before she died”.
The evil killers then proceeded to dump her remains in a bush.
Onos further alleged that he was posted to the school by his supervisor, Uche Nwaosisi, for the sole purpose of providing students for killing.
Nwaosisi, however, said Onos was lying on him. He denied having any knowledge of the crime.
Desmond affirmed Onos’ claim that he contracted him to provide a victim. He said Elozino was only one of five female victims whom he had killed for the same purposes.
“Each time we kill, we remove the vital organs and take to the herbalist, Robinson, who usually would ask us to come back. Robinson used to burn the heart and pound it to make powder substance out of it,” he said.
“It is the powder that he gives us, which we apply before speaking to our victims to make money from them. Any big woman we approach obliges us and provides money for us.”
One of the suspects, also a ‘Yahoo boy’, was said to have slumped and died when the police were close to catching him.
A court date will now be fixed for the killers, police say.
