Heavy storm kills brick layer, two students in Enugu
Two secondary school students and a bricklayer, have lost their lives following a wild storm at Uhuowerre community in Igbo Eze south local government area of Enugu state.
The wild hurricane shook the community as the wild whispering wind uprooted trees, displaced tanks and collapsed buildings in the area.
Reports say the incident had devastating effect on Mario Institute of Hospitality and Entrenureship, a catholic tertiary institution where a brick layer identified as Anthony Mamah lost his life.
Mamah’s two sons reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries and were taken to the Faith foundation hospital, Nsukka for treatment.
At the community secondary school, the wind reportedly struck and killed one student simply identified as Edith Ugwu, an SS2 student.
One Onyeka, an ex-student of the school who had came to witness rehearsal of the school inter-house sports, was also reportedly killed.
