Headmaster, 50, rape four pupils in Enugu
Police in Enugu have arrested a 50-year-old headmaster, Nathaniel Idoko for allegedly defiling four female pupils.
The students, aged between five and six years, were said to have been lured into the bush and sexually abused by Idoko sometime in July.
Police spokesperson in the state, Ebere Amaraizu said that Idoko “used his fingers on the private parts of the four female pupils, which inflicted serious injuries on them, making them to walk abnormally.”
The headmaster of Migrant Farmers Children School was exposed by the parents of one of the kids.
“This led to the arrest of the headmaster who in response, regretted his act and blamed it on Satan,” Amaraizu said.
“He said he did not know why he did what he did, adding that he has seen that he did not achieve anything doing what he did,” Amaraizu said.
The four victims involved are being treated by doctors.
Idoko, according to the police spokesperson, said he had offended his wife by committing the act.
The Lagos State government said on Monday that there was a worrying increase in the rate of sexual abuse and domestic violence, with no fewer than 3,089 cases reported in the state in the past eight months.
