Graphic: Wife allegedly set Nigerian husband, brother-in-law on fire in Ghana
A woman identified as Comfort Agboloshie has been arrested in Ghana for subjecting two Nigerian men – her husband and his brother – to third degree burns as she allegedly set them on fire for unknown reasons.
The victims, Lawrence Nkem and Benjamin Oyem, were both having a sound sleep oblivious of the evil that was soon to befall them, until they were woken by a sudden fire that had ravaged the room in which they slept.
It turned out Comfort, according to a Ghanaweb report, had set fire to some clothing items soaked in kerosene and threw them into the room where both men slept and locked the door.
They were severely burnt and Benjamin never survived the fatal incident.
Lawrence, Comfort’s husband, is reportedly in a coma and has been admitted at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Ghana.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ms Juliana Obeng who is the Public Relations Officer of the Tema Regional Police Command, confirmed that the incident occurred in a house at Ashaiman Lebanon Zone II on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
Obeng said before the suspect allegedly carried out the dastardly act, she took her three female children (aged four, seven and nine), from the room in which they were sleeping with their father and uncle before setting them ablaze.

Obeng said neighbors who saw the fire managed to rescue the two brothers who had sustained severe degrees of burns and quickly rushed them to the Tema General Hospital. It was however too late for Benjamin to survive the fire incident.
A police investigation is still being carried out according to Obeng, to determine what circumstances prompted Comfort’s cruel act.
