GENIUS: 6 things you should know about Nigerian doctor who never scored below 5.0 CGPA in Russian university

By Murphy Edet

“He’s not just another intelligent Nigerian, he’s a genius” that’s one of the great things the country’s ministry of education said about Victor Olalusi who has never dropped a point in school grade.

Here are six other great stuffs you should know about him.

1. He’s a “Russian czar”

…and he earned that by getting his name listed in the Russian National Research Medical University’s hall of fame.

In his seven years at RNRMU, Victor never scored below 5.0 CGPA; not even in Russian language courses.

2. Architecture genius

Before heading for Moscow to conquer the medical field, Victor had obtained a degree in another area – Architecture. He graduated with First Class from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). That was in 2005.

Victor is a genius but Russian has urged him to use his knowledge in helping Nigeria become a better place.

3. JAMB lord

Victor was JAMB’s Best Science Student in 2006 when he scored 322 in the pre-varsity entrance examination. He was also awarded a Cowbell Prize that same year.

4. Obafemi Awolowo University champ

He then went on to write post-UTME at OAU and left everyone in his wake. He scored 325.

5. “Ajepako” schoolboy

One would think Victor was schooled in one of those “standard” private schools. Well, he wasn’t.

Growing up, he never attended the highbrow schools were the standard of education is obviously higher.

He attended a public school where he had the best WAEC result in 2004. School or no school, genius is genius.

6. What the Russians say about him

The Russian Embassy said Victor (or Viktor if you wish), like many other Nigerians, is exceptional.

“Nigeria is blessed with abundant human potential which is officially acknowledged in Russia,” Mr Artem Romanov said on behalf of the Russian Embassy.

“It has been acknowledged in the Russian Ministry of Education that Nigerians have a lot of exceptional talents. Genetically, Nigerians grasp knowledge easily.

“Victor is a hardworking person. It is not easy to achieve such in Russia; it goes with talent and hard work.”

Romanov then offered the most important advice of all.

“I urge you to engage your knowledge in the development of your father land.”
