Fire razes Central Bank of Nigeria branch in Jos
The Centran Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Tuesday, said its Jos branch in Plateau State was engulfed by a ‘minor fire’ on Tuesday.
CBN revealed this in a tweet via its verified Twitter handle.
“Minor fire outbreak at the Jos branch of Central bank of Nigeria, promptly contained today, April 21, 2020,” the apex bank tweeted.
This is coming barely five days after a section of the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja was engulfed by fire on Friday.
The fire at the CBN office in Jos is the fourth incident of fire outbreaks at government offices in the past two weeks. A section of the Accountant General of the Federation’s office and the Coroporate Affairs Commission (CAC) office in Abuja have also been engulfed by fire in the past two weeks.
