Ethiopian aircraft crashes, killing all passengers on board

The Ethiopian Airlines plane carrying 157 passengers and crew members from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Nairobi, Kenya has crashed shortly after take-off.

All the passengers who boarded the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft have all lost their lives in the crash.

Among those who perished in the crash are 18 Canadians, 32 Kenyans, eight Chinese, eight Americans, nine Ethiopians, and citizens of many other countries, including seven UK nationals.

The pilot of the plane was a senior Ethiopian Airline pilot who had excellent flying record prior to the incident.

The CEO of the airline, Tewolde GebreMariam said that they’ve not yet been able to determine the cause of the crash as the aircraft was in perfect condition during routine maintenance check.
