EFCC trails 3 former bank staff over N57.4 million fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is on the trail of three former bank staff for defrauding customers to the tune of N57.4 million.

The names of the suspects were given as Ayanlola Temitayo, Omosalewa Ayinla, and Adesanya Adewale.

Ayanlola Temitayo

Temitayo (nee Badamosi), a former staff of Heritage Bank, is said to be wanted in a case of conspiracy, forgery and obtaining money under false pretences to the tune of N27 million.

She was said to have forged a customer’s documents and fraudulently obtained a loan facility using the customers’s fixed deposit as collateral to secure the sum.

The anti-graft agency said all to apprehend the 40-year-old Ondo state native have so far proved futile.

“She is of average height. She speaks Yoruba and English Languages fluently. Her last known address is No 44 Akinlawon Agboola Close, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State.” the commission said.

Omosalewa Ayinla

Ayinla is wanted in a case of conspiracy, forgery and obtaining money under false pretences to the tune of N27 million.

The former Skye Bank staff allegedly forged treasury bills certificates worth N27 million and handed them over to a customer in exchange for the sum.

EFCC said the 38-year-old native of Ijebu North Local Government Area in Ogun State has been on the run since an arrest warrant was issued against her.

“She speaks Yoruba and English Languages fluently. Her last known address is No 7 Prince/Princess Elesin Meta Estate, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State,” the commission said.

Adesanya Oluwatosin Adewale

Adewale is wanted in a case of forgery and stealing to the tune of about N3.5million.

Adewale is accused of forging a letter of non-indebtedness, supposedly issued by Standard Chartered Bank, and obtained a bank draft from Guaranty Trust Bank to pay off a loan facility he had obtained from the former. As soon as his account was credited with the sum, Adewale allegedly withdrew the money and disappeared.

Efforts to arrest the 42-year-old native of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area in Ogun State have also proved abortive.

EFCC said Adewale “speaks Yoruba and English Languages fluently. His last known address is No 7 Oganiji Layout, Idi Rogbo Street, Off Adeoyo Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.”

The commission urged anyone with useful information on the suspects to duly notify it through its contact phone lines.
