EFCC to Hold Electronic Auction for 891 Forfeited Cars

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced plans to conduct an electronic auction for 891 vehicles that have been forfeited to the agency. The announcement was made through a notice posted on the EFCC’s official social media platforms.
According to the commission, the vehicles were seized in accordance with various regulations, including the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery & Management) Act, 2022.
The auction will be handled by designated auctioneers, with the sale set to run from January 20 to January 27. This marks an important step in the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to manage and liquidate assets acquired through illicit means.
