DR Congo beats Oliseh led Nigeria 2-0
October 8, 2015
Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh has recorded his first loss in charge of Nigeria’s senior national football team.
The Eagles slumped 2-0 to DR Congo in a friendly, Thursday night.
Nigeria’s defeat comes the same day former Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama quit the team after a row over who captains the side.
New Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was handicapped throughout the game in which Chelsea “squad player” Mikel Obi was the only one who produced a few sparks.
Nigeria plays Cameroon next, on Sunday.
Both friendlies were fixed to help the Eagles prepare for their next round of African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Thursday’s match was played in Belgium. So will Sunday’s.
Oliseh may come under increasing pressure if Nigeria fails to turn up against Cameroon
