Dangerous Lagos! Police recovers hundreds of weapons, ammunition in 3 weeks
Despite the Lagos State government’s dedication to ridding the state of crimes, it is alarming the ease with which criminals have access to weapons.
Many motorists have been robbed in traffic and hoodlums continue to have free reign in certain parts of the city.
The State Police Command has, in the past three weeks, been able to recover hundreds of weapons and ammunition from criminal suspects.
“If Lagos Police Recovered all these guns in less than 3 weeks, can you imagine the amount it would recover in a quarter and a year if it intensifies efforts, and the multiplier effect of this on Lagos business environs?,” the alarmed command said as it shared images of various weapons recovered from criminals.
Begs the question; With many more of such weapons still out there in the hands of criminals, how safe is Ambode’s Lagos?
