Court denies former OAU sex-for-marks lecturer bail

Former OAU sex-for-marks lecturer Richard Akindele was denied bail when his case was heard at the Federal High Court in Osogbo on Tuesday.

Akindele is facing charges for demanding sex from one of his students, Monica Osagie, in order to upgrade her score.

His phone conversation with her had been secretly recorded, prompting his dismissal from the university.

Akindele’s application for bail through his counsel,  Francis Omotoso was opposed by the Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission.
